Staff and Rules

The following school rules and staff list are taken from a Welcome pack given to the parents of new pupils in 1979

School Rules

Certain rules and regulations are essential in school in the interests of the health and safety of the pupils as well as in the interests of their physical, social, personal and educational development.  We have to remember that there are about 800 pupils, 45 teaching staff and about 30 other staff and it is essential that we all work together in a pleasant, orderly environment.  We try to keep our rules to a minimum and we try to make them sensible.

We ask our pupils to be:-

a) respectful to other people - fellow pupils as well as adults
b) respectful to property - their own as well as that belonging to others
c) sensible, thoughtful and self-disciplined in all movement around the school
d) quiet, courteous and conscientious in all school tasks, whether they be in the classroom or out of it
e) attentive to personal appearance - cleanliness, grooming and uniform
f) attentive to good attendance and punctuality
